My beautiful family of four!

It's been a few months since I have posted. Life has been busy but great! You probably all know our newest addition arrived September 15, 2011. Here's how it happened: On the 14th I was having tons of contractions but nothing major at all. I was timing them and they were getting pretty close so I called Will at work and told him I wanted to go in and be checked. He got home around noon, when we got there they checked me and I was dilated to 4cm. We stay for about an hour or two and decided to go home since there was no progress. That night I felt like just sitting around and doing nothing. So I went to bed around 10pm and woke up multiple times in the night from the contractions. 4:30am I woke Will up and told him they were 2 min apart and we needed to go. They were not very painful just more uncomfortable than anything. Of course on our way to the hospital they slowed down and were about 5-10min apart. I was checked at 5am and was dilated to 6cm. I was pretty sure I wanted an epidural but I did not need it at that point. I got put into a room right away and we sat there until 8am when the doctor came in to check me again. She said I was almost 8cm and asked if I wanted an epidural. I said yes because I was scared the pushing would be too intense for me! He came in to give me the epidural which was not as bad as I remembered it before. Doctor came in and decided to break my water to speed up the process. She broke it at 9am and by 10am I was fully dilated. I began pushing at 10:10am. I could basically feel everything but the contractions still, but I did not push the button for morphine. It got pretty intense for a minute but she was born at 10:27am! We named her Clara Elizabeth Gillispie, she was 6lbs 15.5oz and 18 1/2 in long. We couldn't be happier and big sister is doing amazing with her! We had some troubles at first but that has now passed.

ENJOY! We are :)

On the potty train! CHOO CHOO!

I mentioned before that we were potty training. With our trip to California and everything that else we kind of pushed it off for a while. We were still working with her but she was still in pull ups and we were only taking her if she said she had to go (which wasn't all that often.) Now we are on Day 4 of absolutely no pull up potty training! Day 1, was a disaster! We started the day bare bottom and she had quite a few accidents. I have NO idea why, but we decided it would still be an okay idea to go out to lunch. She had a number 1 and number 2 accident in the restaurant. We stressfully continued the training the rest of the day with about 15 total accidents. Day 2 wasn't much better. We stayed home most of the day but she still had about 10 accidents and many successful potties as well. Yesterday, day 3 she did amazing! At this point we were back in clothes and underwear all day. She had one accident in the morning while playing with Will. We were out all evening from about 5-8 and she pottied at every place we went. I am so proud of her! I know it is still early today but I can tell it will be just as good as yesterday! She woke me up in the middle of the night twice to go potty last night and went this morning too. I am asking her quite a bit if she has to go but we are only sitting on the potty when she says yes or if we are out and about somewhere! Now I am just hoping that once Baby Clara is here, she doesn't go in reverse and start having accidents again! I know this isn't totally the end but I can't believe how much easier it has been than I thought it would be. Any questions? ASK ME!

Until next time! (and I am going to try and start writing alot more again.)

Getting a little jealous!

I am happy that Will is over in California working, but I want to be there! He has been at the pool or beach having fun for the last week, while I am stuck in a house with a 2 year old! It doesn't help that I have nothing to do over here! I neeeeed something to keep me and Alesyia busy until we can get down there. There is only so much cleaning that can be done in this house and only so much playing Alesyia can do. I am such a complainer! I needed to get that out there though.

Make a comment about something that you are jealous of or just want to complain about!

okay okay.

It's been a while already since writing I know. With Will gone, and watching my niece 4 days a week, plus my daily suties of being a mom, I haven't really had the time. Alesyia is quietly coloring next to me so I thought I would take a few minutes to write.

I had my 27 week check up at the doctor on Monday. I currently weigh 117lbs, and the doctor said everything is looking great! I had to get the glucose test done, (checking for gestational diabetes.) and I am hoping that turns out fine as well. I go back in two weeks for my next appointment.

Alesyia has been great. She is missing her daddy alot but we should be going down there with him soon! I really have to be careful with what people say around her now! I accidentally said "oh shit" and now she is saying it all the time. I keep telling her it is bad, but she says it a day or two later again!  What can I do though? I just won;t say it around her anymore!

I know this is a rather boring blog, but at this point I do not have much to talk about. Once Will is back and we have gotten more done on the house, and Clara is here, I will have much more to talk about.

Until next time.

My birthday!

In 8 days, I will be turning 21! That's awesome right? Well, kinda. Will, will not be here for my birthday, I am 27 weeks pregnant, and it's a Sunday, so I will probably be watching my niece. Don't get me wrong, I am very happy and I'm going to make it the best I possibly can but dang! Hmmm, what to do?

27 weeks!

27 weeks ago, our 2nd baby was conceived. Since then we have found out that we are having a girl, and have chosen a name. Her name will be Clara Elizabeth Gillispie. Of course, Will has no idea how it feels to be pregnant, but a lot of times I wish he did. My two pregnancies have been quite different from each other. With Alesyia, I was sick everyday, 5 times a day for 5 months, but other than that, NOTHING! Until the end when you just get extremely uncomfortable. This time, I was sick off and on for 4 months, nothing too major. But I have had to go in to the hospital a few times. Twice it turned out to be dehydration. No matter how much I drank, I just couldn't get hydrated. So they pumped some fluids into my body and then I felt much better. The last time, I was having some major pains in my side. My doctor told me to go into L&D and get checked out. They couldn't find anything wrong and sent me home. I had those pains for another week or so, and looked it up on the internet. The only thing I could find that seemed like a possibility was a naval hernia. It has since went away and came back for a day or so twice. Now other than that, nothing! With Alesyia I gained 13lbs my entire pregnancy. I know, I know, not a lot right? My doctor didn't seem concerned at all. Yesterday when I weighed myself, I weighed 117lbs. That means I have already gained 20lbs this time around! Way more than I expected but I am very happy with it, since I hope to keep some of this weight on this time! I have a doctors appointment next week and I will update my weight gain then!
Have a great day everyone! I will be enjoying mine.

Thank god for all I missed...

Cause it led me here to this. Today I heard the song  "This" by Darius Rucker, on the radio. I have heard it many times before, but as I heard it today, I actually listened. I've always believed everything happens for a reason, but it really hit me at that moment. I actually cried to be honest. You might say it's just my pregnancy hormones, but I don't think that was the case this time. Think about it, if you made that green light the other day instead of catching it at red, would everything else have happened the same? Doubt it. I can't imagine not having Alesyia in my life. She is two years old and these last years have been the most amazing part of my life so far, and it just keeps getting better.
Alesyia grows and improves every single day. When she was 6 months old she crawled. 11 months, she walked.  By 18 months, she had a pretty large vocabulary and now at 2 her doctor has said she is speaking at a 3 year olds level. As I said before, we started potty training. Funny story from today: We went to my parents house to have dinner tonight. I was in the bathroom and heard her say she had to go poop. So I come out into the living room and my mom is laughing hysterically. Alesyia has a small little people doll house over there and she decided that since she had to poop, she was going to do it in her doll house toilet! She squatted over it and stood up and said "I pooped in the toilet!" Luckily she had her pull-up on still, but she really pooped! The doll house looks like this:

I'm glad she is trying, but did she really think she could fit on there? ;)

Sooo, if you ever get frustrated with something, think about the positives and that if one small thing had been different in your life, you wouldn't be where you are today. I will never regret anything that I do through out my life because it's happening for a reason. I hope all of you feel the same way. Look up the song "This" and really listen to it. You will enjoy it and possibly cry too ;)

-Until next time!

Life keeps getting in the way of life!

As I sit here in my partially finished living room waiting for Alesyia to wake up I can't help but think. When is this house going to be done? Well, yesterday I found out it will be a lot longer than I expected. Will leaves Monday for a month long job in California. Luckily we have half of the house that we can actually live in. At first we thought that Alesyia and I would be able to go with him on the job since it is only small distance from Knotsberry Farm and Disneyland! At this point plans have changed :( Soooo, for the next month and a half or so, the rest of the house is going to be untouched! Hey I can't really complain since he is getting some work and we have a place to live and our life is going great. I definitely know it could be WAY worse. I may post some pictures of how our house is looking. The kitchen is AMAZING! I must say its my favorite part of the house so far! On another note, we started potty training Alesyia a few weeks ago, but since having to move out of the rental house and into this one, it was sort of put on hold. I will be working really hard with her now. This morning she woke up dry and told me she had to go. Hopefully she is fully trained come September! Life is always getting in the way of life. But what would life be without obstacles, right?

-Until next time! :)

My very first blog! How I got to where I am...

Well, here we go... My name is Alayna Mae Boggs, soon to be Gillispie. So how did I get here today?

It all started back on June 26, 1990. Lisa Lind and Alan Boggs had a little girl about 2 months early. She was the most adorable thing in the world! Taking it too far? Okay, okay, according to them I was :) From then on I would say I had a pretty normal life. I grew up in Burien, Wa, playing hide 'n seek with the neighbor kids, and having lemonade stands. I had an older brother and two younger sisters but I was the "good one." Up until my senior year of high school that is. I always had the best grades and did the right thing, but for some reason I decided to "give up." Skipping school, smoking, sneaking out and not coming home whenever I had the chance. But all of my mistakes got me here.
June 26, 2008-I turned 18 and went to the casino with my parents. I sat down at the poker table and next to me sat a very hot guy wearing a hat with about $600 in front of him (which was a lot of the money on the  table.) He left about 10 min after we got there and I forgot about him. About a week or so later, I was hanging with some guys and when I went home the hot guy from the casino was sitting on my couch! I guess he was an electrician and was going to do some work for my dad. He ended up going to dinner with us and a few weeks later asked me on a date. Oh yeah and his name was Will. We went on a date but we hardly talked. You know those awkward first dates at the movies? We started texting everyday and went on another date a couple of weeks later. Its our second date and we went to a party. I would like to tell you I waited a long time before doing anything with him, but then I would be lying. I know what you are all thinking! *omg!* We had left the party and went back to his place. We hung out lots after that.

Fast forward to September 7, 2008. I am having bad heart pains and my dad took me to the hospital around 3am. This is where I find out everything with my heart is normal, buttttt... I bet you can all guess what I am going to say. I find out I am pregnant! I cried and cried. I had no idea how things would turn out since I had only known him a few months. I call to tell him at 4am. I couldn't wait! Over the next few days I decide that i will be keeping the baby no matter what happens between us. Over the course of the pregnancy we got to know each other. On Halloween 2008 we are talking on the phone because he was out of town and he said he loved me.

May 27, 2009 I went in labor with our child. On the 28th a beautiful baby girl was born. We named her Alesyia Mae. She was the most amazing thing in the world. I was still 18 but had given up so much for her and would never take it back. Will loved her more than I had imagined and we got our own place shortly after she was born. In December Will found a fixer house that he wanted to buy. Soo, even though I thought it was a bad idea... HE BOUGHT IT!

March 15, 2010. Will proposed to me. I totally messed it up though! He was planning on asking me the next day but I saw a big square in his box. I kept asking him what it was but he wouldn't tell me. I didn't have any idea it was a ring since a few months back he said he never really wanted to get married. I later learned that when he said it was when he decided he wanted to marry me but wanted to throw me off...

Now we still aren't married, since life has gotten in the way. In January 2011 we found out we were expecting again and due in September. We were not trying, but we are now happier than ever. Her name will be Clara Elizabeth. As I mentioned before, Will bought that house wayyyy back in Dec 09. We have just recently been able to move in. The entire house isn't finished but is being worked on as we live here. Our amazing daughter Alesyia just had her 2nd birthday.

This is definitely not the life I expected, but I do not regret one thing about it. It has turned out to be the better than I had ever imagined.

This blog will talk mostly about ourselves and our two children. I hope you keep interested in our life and return to learn more about us!
